May is here and I have yet to post anything new for a while now. I've GOT to get better at this. Adam and I have been very busy trying to take time to go to the beach, Dodger games, concerts, local events, along with our every day to-do lists including work, meals, exercise, cleaning, and sleeping. And we've also been checking things off our wedding list, we've been ordering things so that we won't have to worry about them as time gets closer to the big day. So far we've ordered the bridesmaid dresses, which are already in Fort Scott waiting to be worn on August 1st. We've gone in and picked out the tuxes for all the boys. Just waiting for everyone to go in and get measured. We might be waiting up until the last minute for that to happen. Linley's flower girl dress has been ordered and shipped to Fort Scott, along with her shoes and my mom's Mother of the Bride dress. Adam and I went shopping and purchased a portion of the bridal party gifts for the girls in the party. Had a good time doing that. I've picked out my dress shoes, just need to order them so that way I have them ready to fly back with me for my FIRST FITTING on May 29!!!! YAY!!! Can't wait for that. Hope it fits! I've also purchased my fancy earrings to wear. I put them on and they look PERFECT! We've put the deposit down for the cake. We've contacted our food lady and have all of that in line and ready to go. We've accomplished quite a bit. Waiting to have pics taken for our invitations to be ordered. We're personalizing them with a pic. And lucky for us, our wonderful cousin Jake who lives out here near us, has offered to take them for us!! I hope they turn out well.
So besides all that we have been able to fit in a few fun events. We have been faithful fans to the Dodgers and have attended a number of the games. They have been playing extremely well and the games are always very entertaining. We are saddened with the Manny Ramirez news but we are still fans nonetheless. And they lost only two games after the news of his suspension. Which is understandable I believe. He plays a big role on the field, in the batter box and in the dugout. But they are back up to par and ready to win! Along with games, we had the opportunity to attend a charity event that was held by Will Ferrell where he played tennis against of the highest ranked players on clay courts, Mats Wilander. It was a lot of fun to be able to attend that. Dwight from "the Office" made an appearance as well. It was fun to be able to go to something like that out here. We had great time. After the tennis match we went and saw Jennifer Hudson and Robin Thicke in concert. WONDERFUL, thats all I have to say. Such a wonderful way to end our evening. And just last night I met up with an old friend from KState and went to an Anaheim Angels game against the KC Royals. We were silently rooting for the Royals, since we were probably the only Royals fans in the crowd, we didn't want to stand out too much. But sad to say, the Royals had a bad night and lost :o( Oh well. Maybe tonight they will win!
A small update on Jules, she is growing like a weed and she is getting to where she can jump and keep up with Ginny. She gets on the counters now. She HAS to be in the middle of the action. Even if you're just washing dishes, she wants to be up there to see. She is a lot of fun. She had her first two vet appointments in the time I haven't posted and she is at 3.6lbs. and the vet says shes very healthy and growing well. He was surprised in how much she had grown in the 2 weeks between her two appointments. I think I woke up one day and she was no longer a kitten, she has that somewhat grown up face to her now. but she still wants to cuddle and sleep on your chest like a kitten. Her and Ginny are best friends and they have been sleeping together all afternoon today. Its been a lot of fun having a friend for Ginny.
Well I think this covers everything that has happened in the past weeks I have failed to post. OH wait, I'll give a quick update on the little man. He is growing just as fast as Jules. Cooper now has 2 TEETH!!!! And he is so strong, he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He goes in one direction, backwards. But hes just about got the hang of lifting his hands when he's up on his knees. Crawling isn't too far away! His mom has now gotten to where she is comfortable with us taking little trips, so the little man and I went shopping the other day! It was a lot of fun, something new. And now I know how close the Westminster Mall is and if we get bored we can go for walks in the mall. We're having a lot of fun. I have a full week ahead of me with NO Cooper, it'll be so sad, and he's going to grow so much while they are traveling but it'll be a nice break to be able to finish up any wedding things I need to cross off my never ending list.
I added a few random pics too. Adam and I got a new car due to his dying on us. We went with something that would give us some extra room to grow in the future. And I also added a pic from the weekend that I went back to Kansas in April of me with my two sisters, Jessica and Alison.
