Rewind just a little....

Tonight I decided I'd like to keep track of Adam's and my road together. We have had such an amazing start and yet nothing but our own memories to show for it. So I'm hoping that this blog will be a way to keep track of the wonderful journey we have had and the journey we have yet experienced....

So to back track a little, I should start with when we met, well we met in kindergarten, but we met for this stage of our life in August. We've known each other all through elementary, middle school, high school and college, but didn't get to know each other the way we know each other now. We both wish we had made that step way back when, but at the same time neither one of us regret the path that we did take to get us where we are today.

In August we started our relationship via cell phone due to the distance between our physical locations, Adam in Anaheim and myself in Fort Scott. It was difficult to have a relationship over the phone and yet it was easy because we both opened up and got to know each other instantly and everything was perfect instantly. Shortly after our first conversations I made a spur of the moment decision to make a huge move and take a vacation time from work and fly out to visit Adam. And from that initial visit to California we knew instantaneously that there was something amazing starting. Crazy as it may sound, we fell in love as soon as we saw each other at the airport that day in September.

So rushing ahead, we would take trips back and forth and talk with one another almost constantly. Some might say it was a little over the top, but for us it just felt "right". We discussed anything and everything, all the little things and all the big things, and soon we realized that we both wanted forever with each other. A shock to most of our close friends and family, Adam proposed to me on December 16th after a surprise trip to Kansas that he made spur of the moment. After a quick four months we knew it was exactly what we wanted.

And today, I've relocated to Anaheim so that we are able to get going on our life together. Planning our weekends, planning our wedding, and planning our future. We wouldn't have it any other way!
