5:41am...

Good morning Tuesday.

Londyn thought that she would wake up EARLY today! Just what I didn't expect. And just so happens that I stayed up late last night. In short, Mommy is sleepy this morning. I will be brewing coffee til 2pm (that's my new coffee shut off time). Londyn is already down for her first nap this morning, when most babies are just now waking up for the day.

I know I sound like I complain a lot, I tend to let out all my feelings, I don't want you to guess how I'm doing... I'll just tell you straight up. All the whines and complains aside, I'm thankful that each day is a new day and nothing is boring in our house. This little
girl sure knows how to keep us on our toes!

We're just about to our 10month old birthday! On that day I will start the first birthday decorations and gift purchases and invitation addressing. Time to get ready for the BIG DAY! (shh! don't tell my husband, he thinks it'll be a small gathering) I've decided that our ONLY daughter, our ONE and ONLY, will turn ONE one time. She de
serves a special day. Even if she only remembers it through what she will watch someday on the dvd. I want to know that I gave her a day that I'm proud to call her first birthday. No, that doesn't mean I'll spend millions... or even hundreds. I hope to spend a mere twenty bucks! (HOPE is the key word) We all know that it'll cost more than that, but the dollar amount isn't what I'm tallying up here. I want it to be special and fun and whether all the people we invite attend, or none of the people show up, the day will be one that will be special for Adam and me. Here are a few thoughts I've had as far as her decor will include, or an inspiration board that I've thrown together. These items most likely WON"T be at the party, but something will be there that was inspired by what you see HERE.

And here are the cookies I'm hoping to whip out... they are where the party theme came from... "Princess at the Beach" and we'll do pinks and grey with touches of black.

  1. Love the theme! Stock up now at Target or Party City on beach pails that should be on sale and you can use those to hold the kid's favors. I bet they have them for less than a dollar each. And sand and sea shells. You will have so many cute decorations you can buy when you come to California. I have some ideas for her cake:) We'll have to chat soon. Aly
